I hope that everyone had a safe and fun 4th of July this year. We sure did because we set off our own fireworks this year. The city that we live in decided to save money and not put off and fireworks this year. The really sad part is I have been watching the fireworks here since I was a kid.
I know that a lot of other cities had the same thing happen so they could save money as well. On a happy note the statue of liberty crown was reopened today after being closed since 2001. I hope to get there and get a chance to go up in the crown. They said that tickets are sold out until November right now, so we will see if we get a chance this year to go.
