Hearst Castle is so big that there were three tours to pick from. The tour that I went on was the Upstairs Suites Tour. The castle took over 28 years to build and was never finished.

The rooms that I did get to see were amazing. Every room had a different design on the ceiling and featured really rare artwork from around the world.

There were two libraries that I got to see that had over several thousand books. My favorite part of the tour was the pool. The whole place was made out of tile and marble and had a diving spot that looked like a thrown with tile and marble on it.

I would love to go back and take the other tours that they have to offer.

Even though Mr. Hearst lived there with his girlfriend and his wife only stayed in the other half when she visited there was a crazy rule Mr. Hearst had that you could only share a room with someone you were married to. I wonder how bondage people would have gotten on?

It is a shame to call it a castle with no dungeon.
