Air Show 2011 |
September 26, 2011 |
I went to a air show at a military base in Colorado this weekend. It was pretty cool but defiantly not as good as some of the other ones I have been to. I think the economy hit the show. I remember when i was younger they were free and featured dozens of planes but now you pay per person and there is barely any planes there. It is a good example of a government operation.
This air show had an H 101 Salto, Interstate Cadet painted with Jelly Belly on it, 300S Aerobatic, F/A 18 Hornet, and A-10 Warthog.
My favorite demonstration was the A-10 and the F/A 18 Hornet. I think it would be so much fun to be able to take a ride in one of those planes. They probably won't let me borrow one anytime soon.
the part that really sucked about the whole thing was bad planning that left several thousand people walking 3 miles back to the parking lot because the busses had a couple hour wait at the end of the show and because it was on a military base you could not park anywhere close to the action.
