I love to drink red wine and some friends suggested that I start to make my own wine. They have been making theirs for years and have so much fun doing it. Their wine is really good. So I thought sure why not, it could be a lot of fun.
The first batch is Portuguese Douro Tinto and they helped out with it all the way to the bottling of the wine. I had so much fun making the first wine when it was time to see what new wines were coming up next I went to the showing of them.
After trying all of them I got all of the wine they had except one to make! I am so excited! Right now there are two reds called Washington Meritage and a Petite Sirah/Zinfandel about ready to be bottled.
The white wine is in fermentation right now and is called German Traminer Spatlese. This wine is a sweet dessert wine. I am very excited about this one because it doesn’t take as long as a red wine to fully mature.
The last kit that I have to make is another red and I am super excited about this one! Out of all the wines that I tried I got two kits of this wine. It is a Spanish Matador Tri Red.
